I've been dying for a 'shaft' Ranger skin for years. Black/blue/white electricity pattern, shadered if possible. It's hard for me to describe what I see in my head, but I might get with you on IRC about this if you're even remotely interested. Slipgate - Wink

I have some ideas in mind for a personal skin for the Doom class, if we do some personal skins.  What I'm thinking about is quite a bit different and more refined from my old lava-texture Q2 skin.  I'll have to get some concept stuff for that and see what you think.  I was originally thinking about doing my own a while back, but I can't even come close to matching your skinning ability.

What I had thought about doing for Con's Ranger skin was a nod to the effect on Phobos.  That is, give ranger some armor with sections where it looks like raw electricity is crackling over it, with silver metal along the edges.  I can see it in my mind, I just can't translate it to photoshop.

Ranger needs a 'grunt' type of skin, hehe. Not the character Grunt.. the pansy q1 enemies called grunts. I'd be all over that one... or an Enforcer type of deal for Keel.. but Keel doesn't have a helmet. He could almost fit the role of Enforcer quite well. Slipgate - Smile

Oh boy, it doesn't help that I truly hate ranger as a model. It's so rigidly fixed as.. well.. Slippy.
It's an oddly shaped fella, with huge packs on his legs and a very typical helmet indeed. Wrack I understand, but basically it's just Slippy after a bad night of rough sex with the Hell's Angels.
The model is rather unfit to function as a grunt (even sarge would work better, or grunt).
First I'll try and get Keel to look like something of an unhelmeted Death Knight. (I do sound like a broken record Slipgate - Smile).

As for the Team Member skins, post the ideas, possible sketches and/or other concepts ekcetera in a (1) new thread there. It'll be ages before I can and want to start on those, so this topic will be WAAYY down :]

Btw, I could easily model some very fitting heads for some models.. provided that would pay off ofcourse..?

Tab: go start a thread in the private forum for team skins/ideas, so that it's not bogged down. Not much goes on in there, so it'll stay visible for a long time.

And as for headmodels, talk to Pho. I don't think it'd be an issue, but he's the one to check with, as always.
