http://prboom.sourceforge.net/ - (NO GLBOOM ALLOWED!) doom / doom2 port for demos and game play, the best for competition - atleast that ive used.

http://www.doomworld.com/vb/showthr...&threadid=22250 - if you dont know how to play a demo with prboom. another way is to make the .lmp to always open with prboom.exe, works on windows for sure and ive been able to do it on linux in the past (obviously not .exe).
