Yup, that's me

This happened to me a few weeks back. Picture the scene - it's D2M1 and you're playing as random class. You get fragged and respawn as an Arena Gladiator right beside the BFG pool. There are other players on either side of you. Do you:
A. Run away hoping that the respawn protection doesn't wear off before you get a lightning bolt up yer jacksie,
B. Grab it and fire off a few warning shots to get the approaching hordes to fall the kcuf back,
C. Grab it and fire off enough blasts to clear the area and go and get another weapon,
D. SPAM SPAM SPAM!!!!!
E. Other
I'll wait for a few replies before I reveal what I did.

I'd have to go for:
F. Type /gib and hopefull respawn as a REAL class.

Actually I did C, but I got some wise-ass giving me the "GG BFG" lark. Just no pleasing some people, is there??

May I ask you something? What would you do if you were the only blue guy against 7 red bots? Would you:
1. Kill'em all 'till there's nothing left of them.
2. Run like hell and shoot only the guys that come near you.
3. PANIC!!!!!
4. Play in sneaky mode and shoot the enemy silently when they're alone.
5. Start killing them with the berserk guns.
I choose number 4. Of course that they're situations that i have to choose 3 (this happens when i spot 5 doommers with Combat Shotgun or when i spot 3 slipgaters with RL)

I choose number 4. Of course that they're situations that i have to choose 3 (this happens when i spot 5 doommers with Combat Shotgun or when i spot 3 slipgaters with RL) 4. is actually how I practice, although the higher the difficulty, the more likely I am to do 3. Particularly if I'm Earth and they're all Slippy. And Pho, cheers for that. Camping was never really my thing anyway. I could never remember the tin opener ... |

but it's not like you pitched a tent near the respawn point or anything WOW! you can do that? Does that work like ekstra armor or something? for the original question, shoot to kill! And then if i have some ammo left I'll go to spamming... |

Heh, don't worry too much about the morons yelling 'GG BFG' and stuff like that right away. Everytime I shoot one (1) ball of BFG, I get that. It's sort of a Pavlov effect. It especially affects the dorkwads that don't know how our 'rules' work :p

I only pull out the Arena BFG if I see a huge melee going on or if I'm significantly outgunned. Or if Pho shows up. He dies first, because I don't like to die myself.  Question2: 4. I've won tons of 5 versus 1 matches by being a sneaky bastard. |
