Iwanna learn how to map (I have 2 weeks to learn it .
I wanna have
1)basic tips
2)how to do things like portal and doors
3)sites where I can dwnld stuff like scripts and other .
4)other map related things

Wow, two weeks is a pretty short deadline to learn how to map. I can suggest a few site that will get you started in the right direction though... At least I think it's the right direction, I seem to be doing okay so far Slipgate - Wink

I have made my first books with 2 playersupport and no weapons . Slipgate - Smile feel good today.
tommorow Im gonna  put in some lights and some weapons and maybe something to trigger..
thenits time for me to start on my reall project.

remaking sincity for sof 2  (map looks quietsimply in sin .
you can check it out dev , you have sin
for the others .
go to deja-review and see those made for quake .
(note the original has ladders and there is a climable fence in the alley .

ok , my map is done in the way of . the buildings are there unskinned and there arent lights in , no ladders , no spawnpoints ,no weapons . but
now Im in trouble ,
I ned to make a fence in my map and I dont know how yo do that.
it has to be really thin .
exept that I also need a model from a crane (tabun any help pls )  
 how can you connect to rooms .with a door. (wich is button triggered.
and how can you give a model life so that it can be destroyed .

please answer my questions guys .

I don't know about Soldier of Fortune 2, but in Quake III there is a fence texture (It's in Base - Walls I think). You make a brush, put the fence texture on one side, and put a No Draw texture on the remaining five sides Slipgate - Wink

Triggered doors aren't really that hard (again, my knowledge is limited to Quake III), and I believe there is a tutorial on one of those websites I posted earlier in the thread, though they're aimed at Quake III mapping so I don't know how helpful they'll be.

As for destroying items, I have no idea... I know there's a way to make things explode in Quake III (I've seen several barrels do it).

sof2 nd quake3 is almost the same only other weapons and you can make some items (even walls ) only show up in some gametypes .

1)im searching for a streetlight tight now.
2) I cant get my ladders to work .
3)how do I ad spawnpoints
4)I wanna trigger the light that way that when you hit abutton the light will go out, and stay out .
5)still searching how to make destroyable items.
6)still need a crane model .

P.s. the complete base of the map is fineshed (it wasnt such a big ma in sin either .

I have a problem and I need help . this time from pho or any other coder .

I need a function that does the following .

if its triggerded it has to turn for a couple of degrees , lets say 80 .
and then come back for 80 degrees .


the only thing i  can do tillnow is
or making it go to one side without turning and come back  .
or letting it keep turning around
