The first irony - The city named after yours truly turns out to be the biggest carrier of West Nile.  The second irony - In the middle of the desert, you have mosquito problems.  Why?  Because humans want to turn the desert into !@#!@# SUBURBIA.  If you want to live in the desert, then keep it a desert!  Grow cactus and plant rock gardens!  Learn how to live with less water!

Oh, and instead of spraying more poison chemicals into the air, how about fining people for not taking care of their stupid, putrid swimming pool swamps, and if neglect persists then enforce mandatory tear-downs?  Seems to me that would take care of the problem and cost less money in the long run.  The last thing this world needs is more chemical contamination, especially in the desert where life has a hard enough time as it is without poisons being sprayed all over.

Some people are just beyond all rational thought, it sickens me to no end.
