Well, you're living in the wrong part of the world then. Is it true you guys don't even have boobies on TV or posters etc?

Here's an article about what happened to the author of this program:
http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,1632855,00.asp

I do agree this is complete BS.  Given the choice I would rather make images of my movies and play from the image discs rather than the originals because they can and will wear out over time.

As for nudity... the United States is a bit more conservative than Europe.  Public displays of nudity are illegal.  They do show nudity on cable and satelite television, so if you pay money you can see that, but it is not allowed on broadcast signals.  You can pin up whatever posters you want or watch just about anything you want so long as it's in the privacy of your own home.  The basic idea is you're free to view what you want, so long as you don't rub anyone else's nose in it.

At least we don't have to pay goddamned TV taxes and license fees to get some crappy state-run channel with horrible humor. BBC = teh suck.

You can get boobie posters easily in this country. That's what XXX-rated bookstores are for.

Point taken.

BUT our BBC TV has no ads on it.

Thanks for the info.  still, I have the program, and it works, so it looks like I just got it in time.

(been busy going to BAT's house and looking thou his DVD collection this week.)

You can just ignore the commercials, or buy a TiVo device and skip them. And sometimes they actually do come up with an ad that's interesting or funny (like the GEICO caveman commercial).

I would share my "cavemetrosexual" joke I made about that ad, but I doubt anyone would get it or even know what a metrosexual is.

Oh wait, I just shared it. Doomed

Though we're officially way off topic now.

Good thing it is in RANTS and RANDOMNESS (keyword there, RANDOMNESS which impies we can take part in the act of randomness or be random).

Of course I could have missed the entire point of this forum.

Well indeed, you are quite correct!  And the offtopicness of my offtopics has clearly driven things even more offtopic!  Slipgate - Laugh
