After a brief hiatus over the holidays, we're back and running on full steam again!

As I said in my last update, Phoenix is nearly done with the 0.99e bugpatch. However, we've made so many changes that we might as well call it a new version.

Here's your first glimpse at Generations Arena version 0.99f.

Small team huds for Doom and Slipgate fixed.
Chaingun cg_predictitems with ammo pickup behavior for Doom Warriors fixed.
Strogg and Slipgate waterlevel handling for viewheights fixed. This was preventing Slipgaters from jumping in shallow water.
Added "g_mapsort" cvar to control rotation:
0 - Normal map order
1 - Random start map
2 - Randomized map order
Fixed spamming of "This model cannot be used for this class. Forcing default" at random during Team play.
Players no longer catch fire while spawnprotection is active. (Invulnerable players still burn, they just don't take damage).
Multiple changes to Earth's mortar, including speed, refire, and damage
Forced com_hunkmegs to a min 128 in UI. (THANK GOD)
Changed out of ammo behavior Doom Combat Shotgun when down to one shell.
Changed weapon switch behavior for Doom Heavy Chaingun and Plasma Rifle when firing.
Changed weapon switch behavior for Strogg Troopers Chaingun and Hyperblaster when firing.
added cg_dlightplasma cvar to enable/disable Doom plasma dynamic lights. Default 1 (enable).
added cg_weaponkick cvar to disable viewkick on Strogg/Earth weapons. Default 1 (enable).


We're not quite done yet! There's more changes to come, and a few surprises on the way!

Will it be possible to be able to turn off weapon-bob? (as in UT)

That would make my day as it has been know to make me feel like vomiting. I have turned off view-bob etc but can't turn off weapon bob. Thumbs up!

PLEASE make an easy way to turn the GRAPPLE HOOK on.
Somewhere in the interface so there isnt all these commands we have to put in.

then it would be just like the good old Lithium Quake 2 days

Grapple is easily enabled via the DMflags. Check the server setup and console commands sectino of your manual

Hell yes we are.  You're going to see some new players on the field soon, and I'm working on getting the .99f manual done, so it is on the way.  Mark my words, it's on the way!
