No funny stuff here, I need to know how many people use Macs religiously and play Gen on them.  This is because of a developmental issue that may have consequences for Mac users.

I know a number of people who use macs on a regular basis to play q3 and gen. I'm working on getting them all on pc's in some form primarily because of an existing render bug.

Headshots with any additive-blend projectile will crash the q3 executeable.

Depends on the model of mac....older ones are really, really stupid to use. So unless you get a newer model, don't bother switching.

I think its a common fact that i started playing gens on a mac till about a month ago.
so for the last 2 years Ive done it on a mac.

Hmm... I may enlist your services in the future.  If you're able to compile the Quake 3 Arena 1.32b engine source for MacOS successfully, you may be able to solve a problem of mine.  Slipgate - Smile
