Just something to get some content on this board too. I'm currently modelling & skinning doom items (health, ammo, powerups) and this is what gives, so far: http://www.planetquake.com/tabun/pics/doom..._items_pre1.jpgNote that a Beserk skin for the health-kit is done too, with a nice glowing red-cross shader. I'll update this thread whenever more is up for the showcase.

What's the average poly count on the new items? Are you keeping them in the general limit of the original Q3A items or are you going above and beyond?

Jup, the inside of the helmet will glow green, likewise with the healthvial (not vile btw, the archvile is a project that one of my much more skilled modeller friends are going to tackle soon, hopefully ) Also, the poly limit is above and beyond the default q3 items. 200 to 250 for the boxes, and about 400 max for more organic/complex models. Nohting too insane, but definately along the lines of the increase in polycount we saw with the weapon models.

(still have one just needs a skin and animations )

games: he'll make it from scratch, animate it, and then I'll skin it - and it will be a bloody great model (undoubtedly the best arch-vile out there when its done ) (if he keeps his promise)
