As of Monday, May 18, all email addresses ending in @planetquake.com will no longer be valid.  Gamespy/IGN is decommissioning the servers used for these addresses and not keeping the addresses alive.  Several Wirehead members have used @planetquake.com mail addresses for gaming correspondence over the years.  If you've contacted one of us in the past via email and can no longer get a reply, please check with us on the forums here and send a PM or email from the forums and we'll get back to you with a new email address.

Why? Did they contract sudden retardation or what?

Odd thing is, it is still up. Looks like they just wanted to be able to take the server down whenever they really needed it, or something.

They've delayed taking the servers down, I think because there's a lot of hosted sites that are scrambling to move their content.  PQ had it posted that IGN will be dropping hosting, so it's going to die, but like a certain blond has-been action game hero, we're just not sure exactly when.
