Epic videos. I loved so much the FPS games made by ID Software since I was young. Doom - Thumbs Up!

It is sad to see how id went on the decline after Quake, though. They really kicked ass in the old days, but if they'd somehow had managed to keep reinventing the gaming industry as in their glory days... who knows what else we'd be nostalgic about by now?

Thank you for posting those videos, otherwise I'd have never known they existed. They were a treat to watch.

Loved playing all of id's early FPS games.. and I still play them from time to time just to relive the nostalgia. Honestly, though, for me anyway.. nothing really compares to loading up WinQuake. You load it up and are like, "My God.. I used to play like this and I thought it was awesome!"

I am also completely intrigued by what Q1 was supposed to be. Mostly melee oriented? Suddenly those knights and fiends make a bit more sense in the whole scheme of things.. even the shambler. Makes me wonder though.. why change the hammer into an axe when swapping over to guns? I like hammers.. ..especially giant, two-handed sledges.Slipgate - Laugh Oh well.
