I ran across this today:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_JdpdDwZAg

I know the real historical pieces are much more valuable, and I know about the cheaper MP40 pistols that have been around for several years, but I just have to take a moment to appreciate the level of detail they're going to with this while making it a civilian legal version.  The modder and Wolf3D fan in me respect this.  What do you think?

As a thing that exists and is legal to own, I think it's neat. I definitely appreciate the level of detail and how they've made it "as close as possible" to the original gun.

Overall though, I question the purpose of this. He cites collectors and reenactors wanting it, but I feel like any serious collector would want the genuine article, prices and legalities be damned, and this seems expensive for what amounts to a prop re: reenactments.
