Well, now i have a new computer, ive started mapping again, and i thought i could take a better stab at doing it this time, considering my 3dview works properly Slipgate - Smile

So, heres a pretty early alpha, very dark and gloomy Slipgate - Smile
Somethings will change, that big rooms pretty boring, so i may (read: definately) make it smaller.

No barrels going in this one until Resurgence Slipgate - Smile
They I did them last time, although they worked, were pretty cheap.
So hell to it, i put some nice lava traps in instead Slipgate - Laugh

Furthermore, its not a straight remake like my last attempt was, im making very different changes to increase the flow. Note there is no longer the 2 walkways overlooking the main room. If i find that they will have a use, without damaging the flow and mood, ill put them in.

Okay this is how you get perfect doom 2 scale

Go into Doom Legacy (if you don't have it download it, just for this its worth it), make sure its set to 1024x768
Hit IDBEHOLDA
Hit noclip
Traverse the entire map
Toggle the minimap
zoom out all the way on the map
take a screenshot
copy that screenshot into a directory called
baseq3\textures\trace
open GTKRadient
make a box that is 6400x4800 units in size
Set the texture to fit
and.... TADA you have an outline that is to perfect scale
