If you make a map and are dissatisfied with the scale of the map as a whole, is there a resize handle (or whatever) you can use that will increase the size of the map while keeping proportions correct?

Well there is two ways you can "scale" the map using selection->Scale in radiant just select the brushes you want to resize and use the Scale tool.
There's also a way of resizing the map with q3map2 but i don't know how to do that.

So if you select everything, you could easily resize the entire map.
