Just naming monsters isn't the way to go, that's just guesswork.

It was taken from an ArchVile sprite.

Again, no chance to get a stab at it, so I'm going to ask the stumper this time:

One of the co-authors of the infamous Doom novels also authored another demon-themed science-fiction novel that was part of another four-part set.  I'll give you the following hints:

1)  It was the fourth and final novel in the series.
2)  It was the only novel in the series he authored.
3)  This 4 part series was part of a larger, popular science-fiction genre.

What was the title of the book, the title of the series, and which Doom author wrote it?

Never read the series, but the claim you had no chance to hazard a guess is kind of odd .. it's been up for over a month :]

Sometimes I just use the "latest post" feature from the main forum if I'm in a hurry, which means I miss other threads that may update the same day.  Somehow I missed this one you posted until just now, when I saw you had already posted the answer.   I usually don't follow this forum as closely as some of the others.  Slipgate - Sad

Heh, I was just about to answer all of these questions... I had all the right answers as well  Doomed

Anyway I'll take a stab at yours. Was it  "The Final Fury: Invasion!" based on Star Trek Voyager?

I know one of the authors wrote star trek books too. One of those was pretty good, but my books are in a box right now. =(

Ugh, was it Linaweaver or Ab Hugh. I don't remember.

Chilvence got the book and series, Con got the author (ab Hugh).  Good job!  Thumbs up!

Ok I've got a good one. What relevance does this book have to Doom?

The only clue I'm going to give is that it should be dead easy for anyone who's poked around for a bit of Doom history Slipgate - Smile
